Progesterone FYI

I had some spotting on Friday and for some of Saturday so I decided to try a new "trick" with my Endometrin. It's a simple trick, just don't stick it that far up there! I think that if the progesterone is too close to the cervix then it can cause irritation and spotting or bleeding. So far I haven't had any spotting since implementing my new technique. The only problem that I've had is more, ahem, moisture than usual.

  1. Gotta LOVE the endometrin discharge!!! Ewwww...it's so awful!
Glad you found a technique that will hopefully cut down on bleed scares. That totally makes sense...just invest in a super size pack of panty liners! =)

  2. Progesterone inserts are just a pain (less of a pain than the shots though!LOL).. but I am glad that your new method is going well! I have been on them for over a month now twice a day and the discharge is just so much!! I set my alarm an hour earlier and put the first one in so that the "mess" is less.. but I still need a panty liner!! I put the other one at night before bed so there is no worried there!!

  3. Ugh, I'm starting progesterone next cycle most likely and not looking forward to it.

BTW where is Silverdale? I lived in Spokane for 3 years back in '99-2002.

  4. Oddly enough when searching costs of IUI, dealing with tricare and/or madigan your posts came up and then I realized you're the lady who responded to my question about Madigan on the fertilethoughts board!

I have to say the doctor you dealt with is an IDIOT. I'm sorry you had to deal with that. 90 bpm is an acceptable heartrate at 6 weeks since the heart barely started to pump blood!

  5. Good to know. I will be on Endometrin as well. Not looking forward to the mess, but oh what a relief that I don't have to do PIOs! Hallelujah!!

  6. Silverdale is on the Kitsap Peninsula, across the water from Seattle.

Krystal, Sadly that doc is the only RE now that can offer infertility services to military couples. The other RE went on deployment I heard. They also should have better equipment for an infertility clinic. It seems that everything they have is equivalent to what an OB would have yet this doctor is supposed to be finding a baby the size of a grain of rice. I hope he has better news for me today.

  7. That sucks he's the only one there to deal with that. You would think they have more people and better equipment for a military facility, but it doesn't surprise me they when they don't.

Do you know if you can do IUI's with another place as long as they're tricare approved? I'm still uneasy about the thought of going to a military facility personally.

I hope today's update is a big blessing! I'll be keeping an eye out for the update.
